Automation Ideas for your Personal Branding Photography Business

Automation Ideas for your Personal Branding Photography Business

Work smarter not harder right!

If you are like me, when you started your photography business you thought you would be just shooting people all day, right? Then pretty quickly you realised that most of you day is actually in the day to day running and managing of your business!

That is why it is so important to leverage any automation, software and workflows that will significantly streamline your branding photography business.

But it's not just about you (soz). Creating automations in your business will also help create consistency with your workflow which will enhance your clients experience aswel. Win Win!

Here are some automated process that I use in my business to free up some of my own timetime:

1. CRM (Customer Client Relationship tool) and Client Onboarding Automation

I use Studio Ninja as my CRM and have all of my online enquires, quotes and contracts all in one place. I have a client workflow starting from sending the quote right through to post shoot.

Automated emails can be sent to clients, providing them with important information such as what to expect, how to prepare for the shoot, and the contract for electronic signature.

2. Online Booking and Scheduling

Using an online booking system that syncs with your calendar. This way, clients can easily schedule appointments based on your availability, reducing the back-and-forth communication which can get tedious.

3. Client Questionnaires

Save time by using online questionnaires to gather essential information about your clients' branding needs. These questionnaires can help you better understand their vision, style preferences, and other crucial details before the shoot.

I have my client questionnaire set up in my CRM that is easy to access when communicating with that client.

4. Editing and Post-Processing Workflows

Implement a consistent and efficient editing workflow using software like Adobe Lightroom or Capture One. You can create presets for common adjustments, to make sure your branding style remains consistent across all images.

I’ve integrated Imagen Ai into my editing process to further streamline my workflow. This AI-powered tool reduces editing time by automatically preparing proof galleries, allowing me to focus on final retouches and ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish for every shoot.

5. Cloud Storage and File Delivery

Use cloud storage solutions like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Adobe Creative Cloud to securely store your client's images.

I use Pixieset which simplifies image delivery with each client getting private links to their galleries for convenient access to high and low-res images.

6. Social Media Automation

I use Plann, it helps me schedule and manage social media posts across multiple platforms, saving time and mental energy.

7. Email Marketing Automation

Please tell me you use email marketing to stay in touch with your clients?

There are a number of tools to use, I use Mailerlite as I can stay on the free plan and seems to be super user friendly.

I have set up an email sequence after someone downloads my Freebie, and then they automatically go into my regular monthly email group.

To Wrap up

By implementing automations, software, and workflows into your branding photography business, you'll save time and effort while enhancing the client experience. Embrace technology as your ally so you focus on the fun stuff - capturing stunning branding images for your clients!
